Job Description

Join an exciting and entrepreneurial carrier-neutral data center company! We are looking for excellent candidates to join our company as a Facility Technician and continue our tradition of 100% uptime.

The primary responsibility of the role is to provide maintenance support for our Denver data center campus. The Facility Technician will operate all mechanical and electrical systems, providing assistance to vendors and contractors for capital upgrades, maintenance and repair. The position is located in the Denver Tech Center at H5's 300,000 square-foot data center campus. Qualified candidates will report to the Facility Technician Lead and must be willing to provide on-call support 24x7.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain all mechanical and mechanical systems
  • Follow and improve upon maintenance procedures on critical systems
  • Oversee 3rd party contractor work
  • Engage with customers and assist in delivering an amazing customer experience
  • Evaluate integrity of critical systems and make recommendations on repairs, replacements and upgrades
  • Improve reliability and efficiency of critical systems

Education & Experience

  • Experience and understanding of parallel-redundant UPS systems, diesel generators, chilled water systems, automated controls, and mission-critical environments
  • Ability to utilize test equipment, including volt ohm meters, refrigerant leak detection, balancing and alignment equipment, and refrigerant reclaim units
  • Familiarity with electrical/pneumatic controls operation
  • Familiarity with electrical/pneumatic controls operation
  • At least 4 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role or 2 years in the mechanical maintenance field specializing in complex computer support systems and data centers
  • Maintains a CFC refrigeration license
  • Good communications skills for interfacing with vendors, customers and internal parties
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, control ladder drawings and flow charts
  • At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic logic systems, including diesel generator control and relay logic
  • Experience in executing preventative maintenance programs on environmental systems
