Position summary

Position is responsible for providing H5 Data Centers with general administrative and facility support. Assists with tenant invoicing, purchasing, tracking of expenditures, and other duties for the Denver Data Center. This position backs-up the Denver Facilities Clerk with shipping and receiving responsibilities for the facility.

This position reports to the Facilities Support Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides a high level of service to tenants, vendors, co-workers and guests
  • Responds to emails and phone calls in a timely manner
  • Purchasing for multiple sites
  • Reconciliation of credit card statements and transactions
  • Prepare invoices for payment and power bill reconciliation
  • Enters information into accounting data entry system
  • Responsible for some quarterly and annual reporting
  • Assists manager with tenant invoicing
  • Coordinates with outside vendors as required
  • Observes all company personnel, quality, and safety policies
  • Assist with event planning and implementation
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on data center policies and procedures
  • Coordinates with building engineers concerning maintenance items
  • Works cross-functionally with team members to drive projects forward

    Position summary

    Commitment to leading a mission critical environment that values continuous improvements. This position manages the installation and maintenance of all electrical systems at the Denver Data Center and Operations of specialized power systems.  Acts as an Engineering resource for the complete H5 portfolio of mission critical facilities. Plans and monitors the Building Management System and power measurements. Maintains design documentation.  Provides full life-cycle support to H5 Data Centers from concept design through site implementation and operations.

    This position reports to the Vice President Colocation and Data Center Operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of electrical design and engineering including development of basis of design, scope of work, implementation processes and commissioning plans
  • Schedules and leads maintenance of all Denver power systems to ensure 100% system availability
  • Lead, review, and approve designs for data center upgrades which improve availability and efficiency, in addition to capacity increases and monitoring
  • Develop and manage processes and programs to ensure the health and efficiencies of power systems within the data center

  • Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Experience in Data Center design, construction and commissioning including high voltage substations, complex power distribution systems, Battery and back-up systems, automation and control systems
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
  • Understanding of data center electrical operations procedures, topologies (N+1, 2N, 3/ 2N, Catcher, etc.), equipment, switchgear and transformers, UPS, generators, etc.
  • Ability to refine electrical system designs for availability, quality control, constructability, and cost efficiencies
  • Understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment and system design

    Position summary

    H5 Data Centers is one of the leading privately-owned data center operators in the United States – managing over two million square feet of space in data centers across 13 markets.

    The Building Engineer is responsible for the repair and maintenance of infrastructure and equipment within our Quincy WA site, acting as the contact for emergencies that affect data center operations. Additionally, the Building Engineer will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets and 3) the service to our members. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary shift contact for any building issues (environment, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs)
  • Acts as the primary shift security person on shift while on nights
  • Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • May act as the project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility construction projects
  • Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis
  • Operates the primary cooling and electrical systems supporting the data center
  • Makes minor plumbing, lighting repairs, as necessary
  • Performs assigned preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the facility
  • Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required
  • Assists with shipping and receiving as needed
  • Transports goods or equipment as assigned
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

  • Qualifications
  • Willing to work scheduled shifts in a 24x7 environment. Shifts can consist of standard business hours and non-business hours
  • 1-3 years technical/mechanical experience in a production facility
  • Ability to read electrical one-line drawings
  • Experience with electrical systems, including tracing electrical circuits, loads and sources
  • Experience with mechanical systems operated by industrial controls preferred
  • Meet physical requirements, including walking long-distances within the facility, working from ladders, and lifting 50lb loads

    Position summary

    A core member of our Data Center support team providing primary Operations in customer data centers. The Data Center Support Technician (DCST) is responsible for supporting customers, provides routine maintenance oversight and monitoring of Data Center Infrastructure. This position will help provide installations and respond to Customer and Data Center Infrastructure alarms. The role will deliver high level Customer Satisfaction along with timely and accurate Support Ticket completion. The DCST will ensure work will be properly scheduled, in keeping with prescribed periodicities and schedules. Contractor work will be accomplished under direct supervision by the DCST or supporting staff. The DCST will ensure all work performed strictly adheres to H5 policies, guidelines, and standards.
    This position reports to the Facility Manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st & 2nd level support to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of customer incidents
  • Develops, enhances and maintains documentation for use in problem analysis and resolution (Includes RCAs and follow-up)
  • Register customers into the site Security Access Control System. Can also sign-in vendors and visitors to provide access and escort to the facility and data hall
  • Perform Remote Hands services for customers including; hardware installation, power strips, rails, cable management and customer equipment troubleshooting/reboots
  • Support Service Order installation and cross-connect troubleshooting
  • Perform installation, termination, testing and labeling of cross connects and provide remote hands services
  • Performs Security and facility walkthroughs/ rounds

    Position summary

    Position provides maintenance support for the H5 Data Centers facilities and campus. Operates all mechanical and electrical systems in the facility. Provides assistance to outside vendors/contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and mechanical projects. This position reports to the Facility Manager
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Receives direction from the Building Engineer Lead and Facility Manager.
    • Accountable for infrastructure systems uptime, monitoring critical systems within tolerances, frequent building inspections while providing reliable service delivery to Colocation customers
    • Operation of all mechanical and electrical systems in a reliable and cost-effective manner for the complex.
    • Effectively learn and utilize building controls systems of chiller plants, HVAC systems, cooling towers, other water systems, and fire systems.
    • Provide maintenance support for all mechanical and environmental systems, make repair suggestions, while providing feedback and improvement recommendations for the procedures.
    • Ability to climb and work from ladders, man hoists or lifts, and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50lbs.).
    • Contribute to minor repairs and light duty construction which includes physical structures, plumbing systems, wide range of HVAC equipment, and electrical distribution.
    • Must maintain monitoring and appropriate record keeping of facility and actions to comply with industry certifications.
    • Oversees third party activities and services.
    • Assist in some very basic security related duties.

    • Knowledge/Skills required
      • 2-5 years of electrical and mechanical experience working in High Availability (Data Centers, Manufacturing, Hospital) environments. .
      • Requires understanding and principal working knowledge of parallel redundant UPS systems, standby diesel generators, large chilled water systems, automated controls troubleshooting and setup. .
      • Electric/pneumatic controls operation. .
      • Outstanding customer service skills required. .
      • Good communication skills in dealing with employees and vendors. .
      • Reading and understanding blue prints, schematics, control ladder drawings and flow charts. .
      • Setup and using test equipment, including volt ohm meters, balancing and alignment equipment, refrigerant leak detection, refrigerant reclaim units. .
      • College/Technical degree preferred, but will consider applicants with equivalent work related experience.
      • Previous military experience a plus. .

    Position summary

    The Data Center Support Technician is responsible for managing operational integrity of the H5 Data Centers’ facility. They oversee the physical security operations ensuring the overall site integrity while maintaining all aspects of access control and surveillance of the location. Additionally, they are responsible to act as a single point of contact for all customer engagement daily, handling incoming calls, ticket processing, incident management & coordination. Individuals will be required to perform basic remote hands and escort duties on behalf of customers. Provides assistance to outside vendors/contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and mechanical projects. This position reports to the Facility Manager.

    Essential Job Function

    • Receives direction from the Building Engineer Lead and Facility Manager.
    • Accountable for infrastructure systems uptime, monitoring critical systems within tolerances, frequent building inspections while providing reliable service delivery to Colocation customers.
    • Operation of all mechanical and electrical systems in a reliable and cost-effective manner for the complex.
    • Effectively learn and utilize building controls systems of chiller plants, HVAC systems, cooling towers, other water systems, and fire systems.
    • Provide maintenance support for all mechanical and environmental systems, make repair suggestions, while providing feedback and improvement recommendations for the procedures.
    • Ability to climb and work from ladders, man hoists or lifts, and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50lbs.)
    • Contribute to minor repairs and light duty construction which includes physical structures, plumbing systems, wide range of HVAC equipment, and electrical distribution.
    • Must maintain monitoring and appropriate record keeping of facility and actions to comply with industry certifications.
    • Oversees third party activities and services.
    • Assist in some very basic security related duties.


    Knowledge/Skills Required

    • 2-5 years of electrical and mechanical experience working in High Availability (Data Centers, Manufacturing, Hospital) environments.
    • Requires understanding and principal working knowledge of parallel redundant UPS systems, standby diesel generators, large chilled water systems, automated controls troubleshooting and setup.
    • Electric/pneumatic controls operation.
    • Assist in the formulation, implementation, and adherence to safety policies and procedures related to the daily operations of the facilities. Participation in safety, knowledge and skills training.
    • Outstanding customer service skills required.
    • Good communication skills in dealing with employees and vendors.
    • Reading and understanding blue prints, schematics, control ladder drawings and flow charts.
    • Setup and using test equipment, including volt ohm meters, balancing and alignment equipment, refrigerant leak detection, refrigerant reclaim units.
    • College/Technical degree preferred, but will consider applicants with equivalent work related experience.
    • Previous military experience a plus.
    • CFC refrigeration license a plus.
