Position summary

Position is responsible for providing H5 Data Centers with general administrative and facility support. Assists with tenant invoicing, purchasing, tracking of expenditures, and other duties for the Denver Data Center. This position backs-up the Denver Facilities Clerk with shipping and receiving responsibilities for the facility.

This position reports to the Facilities Support Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides a high level of service to tenants, vendors, co-workers and guests
  • Responds to emails and phone calls in a timely manner
  • Purchasing for multiple sites
  • Reconciliation of credit card statements and transactions
  • Prepare invoices for payment and power bill reconciliation
  • Enters information into accounting data entry system
  • Responsible for some quarterly and annual reporting
  • Assists manager with tenant invoicing
  • Coordinates with outside vendors as required
  • Observes all company personnel, quality, and safety policies
  • Assist with event planning and implementation
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on data center policies and procedures
  • Coordinates with building engineers concerning maintenance items
  • Works cross-functionally with team members to drive projects forward

    Position summary

    H5 Data Centers is one of the leading privately-owned data center operators in the United States managing over two million square feet of space in data centers across 13 markets.

    The Building Engineer is responsible for the repair and maintenance of infrastructure and equipment within our Quincy WA site, acting as the contact for emergencies that affect data center operations. Additionally, the Building Engineer will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets and 3) the service to our members. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary shift contact for any building issues (environment, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs)
  • Acts as the primary shift security person on shift while on nights
  • Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • May act as the project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility construction projects
  • Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis
  • Operates the primary cooling and electrical systems supporting the data center
  • Makes minor plumbing, lighting repairs, as necessary
  • Performs assigned preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the facility
  • Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required
  • Assists with shipping and receiving as needed
  • Transports goods or equipment as assigned
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

  • Qualifications
  • Willing to work scheduled shifts in a 24x7 environment. Shifts can consist of standard business hours and non-business hours
  • 1-3 years technical/mechanical experience in a production facility
  • Ability to read electrical one-line drawings
  • Experience with electrical systems, including tracing electrical circuits, loads and sources
  • Experience with mechanical systems operated by industrial controls preferred
  • Meet physical requirements, including walking long-distances within the facility, working from ladders, and lifting 50lb loads

  • Compensation range: $21 to $24 per hour

    Position summary

    Commitment to leading a mission critical environment that values continuous improvements. This position manages the installation and maintenance of all mechanical systems at the Denver Data Center and Operations of specialized cooling systems. Acts as an Engineering resource for the complete H5 portfolio of mission critical facilities. Plans and monitors the Building Management System and mechanical measurements. Maintains design documentation. Provides full life-cycle support to H5 Data Centers from concept design through site implementation and operations.
    This position reports to the Vice President Colocation and Data Center Operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of mechanical design and engineering including development of basis of design, scope of work, implementation processes and commissioning plans
  • Supports maintenance of all Denver mechanical systems to ensure 100% system availability
  • Lead, review, and approve designs for data center upgrades which improve availability and efficiency, in addition to capacity increases and monitoring
  • Update and maintain as-built master records, which includes transferring project drawings over to the master files
  • Compare existing piping and HVAC systems against drawings and resolve discrepancies
  • Develop and manage processes and programs to ensure the health and efficiencies of mechanical systems within the data center
  • Develops or reviews maintenance procedures for all mechanical systems including detailed scripts for annual maintenance and projects
  • Support Operational teams in problem resolutions, Root Cause Analysis and design and process reviews
  • Provide immediate technical support to operation teams during critical events, on-call
  • Administers all aspects of the mechanical service agreements to ensure compliance
  • Maintains all HVAC and mechanical drawings and process documentation for the Denver facility

  • Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years in data center mechanical design, commissioning and critical system support
  • Experience in Data Center design, construction and commissioning including water cooled chiller plants, complex mechanical distribution systems, raised floor cooling system, automation and control systems
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
  • Understanding of data center mechanical operations procedures, topologies (N+1, 2N, N+20%, etc.), equipment, piping systems, cooling towers etc.
  • Ability to refine mechanical system designs for availability, quality control, constructability, and cost efficiencies
  • Understanding of both HVAC and mechanical equipment and system design
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with top tier analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Organized, detailed and successful at setting priorities and meeting deadlines and budget
  • Comprehensive use of AutoCAD, Visio and Office software packages
  • Project Manager experience is a plus

  • Effectively learn and utilize building controls systems of chiller plants, HVAC systems, cooling towers, other water systems, and fire systems.
  • Provide maintenance support for all mechanical and environmental systems, make repair suggestions, while providing feedback and improvement recommendations for the procedures.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders, man hoists or lifts, and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50lbs.)
  • Contribute to minor repairs and light duty construction which includes physical structures, plumbing systems, wide range of HVAC equipment, and electrical distribution.
  • Must maintain monitoring and appropriate record keeping of facility and actions to comply with industry certifications.

    Position summary

    Position provides maintenance support for the Denver Data Center and campus working with general interior and exterior finish and painting. Maintains some mechanical systems in the Denver complex. Helps outside vendors/contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and mechanical projects. The candidate must be willing to work shifts and weekends. This position reports to the Facilities Manager

    Essential Job Function

    • General Surface prep and painting to maintain the condition and appearance of building and campus.
    • Light carpentry, wall and door repair.
    • General cleanup of campus and buildings including building rounds and reports.
    • Receives direction from the Building Engineer Lead.
    • Will learn and perform operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems in a reliable and cost-effective manner.
    • Provide maintenance support for mechanical projects for the Denver complex.
    • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure systems within predetermined tolerances.
    • Accountable for infrastructure systems uptime.
    • Evaluates and makes recommendations on mechanical equipment repairs.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Must have a High School diploma or GED, and be able to pass a background investigation.
    • General Mechanical Abilities and experience.
    • Experience in Data Centers or clean room environments a plus .
    • Be able to use a computer for general office reports .
    • Be able to read and understand construction documents in English.

    • Have prior experience/education with painting projects (roll, brush, spray) to include drywall repair/finishing.
    • Apprentice: 6 Months experience b. Journeyman: 4+ Years experience.

    Position summary

    The National Junior Network Engineer's role is to design and support the national operation of the production (Customer facing) and corporate network infrastructure for all the H5 facilities. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software (IOS), and communication links while assuring maximum network availability. Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and improve reliability. The successful candidate will also provide second-level support and diagnose and resolve complex network problems. This position also entails consulting with customers on projects, translating requirements into a project plan, and managing the project through completion.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Analyze customer requirements and create Technical Approach documents detailing hardware requirements and configurations with various solutions.
    • The candidate will serve as second-level support escalation and escalate to the Senior team; to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of customer outages and chronic customer problems.
    • Strong hands-on experience supporting multi-vendor platforms (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
    • Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP)
    • Proven implementation and understanding of current WAN topologies (Point to Point, full mesh, dual home, etc.)
    • Proficient with Telecom and Technologic solutions (data and voice, Virtualization, Edge computing, Optical Transport)
    • Liaise with vendors (Verizon, AT&T, Time Warner, Cisco, etc.) on new technologies, recommending new, cost-effective solutions and technologies to improve reliability and service.
    • Develops documentation for new installations that will be used to support the colocation environment and network.
    • Develops, enhances, and maintains network design layouts that are reviewed for problem analysis and resolution.

      Education and Experience

      • College educated (4+ years) in computer/network-related field.
      • Possesses and maintains current knowledge and understanding of Network Protocols, technologies, and applications. (TCP/IP, VPN, SSL BGP, EIGRP, ISIS, OSPF, etc.)
      • Excellent knowledge of logical data flows for physical Networks and Logical hosts. This will assist in designing, diagnosing issues, and problem-solving.

    Position summary

    The Facility Manager provides site and customer oversight, maintenance support and management for the Data Center and/or campus. Maintains all mechanical, electrical, and IT systems in the facility in support of our customers. Direct Supervision of the Data Center Support Technician (DCST) team if applicable and provides coordinated direction over all data center facility repairs and change/ install/ expansion efforts.
