Position summary

The Operations/Security Supervisor helps maintain and improve the physical facility, responds to customer requests, performs basic data communications tasks, and oversees the operations/security team.

The position reports to the Data Center Facility Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Respond to customer remote hands requests. Power cycle equipment, replace memory or disk drives, etc.
  • Competence in building management, access control, video management and other data center application systems.
  • Configure and install video cameras and physical access controllers.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and appearance of data center.
  • Provide training and oversight for contract operations staff.
  • Relieve and back-up operations staff member while rounds are being conducted.
  • Interact with and assist contractors performing tasks at the data center.
  • Assist sales manager while touring prospective customers.
  • Provision customer suites for new customers (including nstall power modules, run copper and fiber cable between communications devices, terminate Cat-5e cables (RJ-45), test circuit continuity, label and document network cabling).
  • Second-level escalation point for all data center operations issues including afterhours support.
  • Fill in for Facility Manager in their absence.
  • Assist in annual audits.
  • Periodic maintenance and enhancement projects.
  • Refined customer service orientation.
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault assessment on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Physically able to perform maintenance and remedial tasks on HVAC units, i.e., replace condenser fan motors in HVAC units.


  • Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.
  • Technical background, computers, Microsoft office applications, Network fundamentals. TCP/IP.
  • Experience in data center or customer service positions preferred.

  • Position summary

    The Data Center Support Technician is responsible for the managing to operational integrity of the H5 Data Centers facility. They oversee the physical security operations ensuring the overall site integrity while maintaining all aspects of access control and surveillance of the location. Additionally, they are responsible to act as a single point of contact for all customer engagement on a daily basis handing incoming calls, ticket processing, incident management & coordination. Individuals will be required to perform basic remote hands and escort duties on behalf of customers. Finally, they will monitor the health of all critical systems including building management, fire control, camera surveillance, access control, and network. The candidate must be willing to work shifts and weekends.

  • Position summary

    The IT Engineer’s role is to support the operation of the production and corporate network and desktop infrastructure within the Denver H5 Colocation facility. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software (IOS), and communication links while assuring maximum network availability. Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and improve reliability. In addition will provide support for all Corporate IT systems, desktops, OS, LAN and voice support. Position is located in the South Denver metropolitan area. Candidate must be willing to provide on-call support 24x7x365.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st & 2nd level support to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of customer incidents.
  • Managing & organizing the H5 MMR’s and overseeing vendor deployments ensuring quality control.
  • Supporting multi-vendor platform (Cisco, Juniper, etc.), configuring routers, firewalls and switches, and troubleshooting networks.
  • Managing telecom and PSTN technologies within the facility (data and voice, DS-1, DS-3, ISDN/PRI, etc.)
  • Layer1 cabling implementations in accordance with industry standards and best practices within data center environments.
  • Develops documentation for new installations that will be used to support the colocation environment and network.
  • Develops, enhances and maintains network design layouts that are reviewed for problem analysis and resolution.
  • Responsible for developing daily/monthly/quarterly reports for senior management and customer review on the performance of network services.
  • Responsible for the support of all corporate LAN technologies, VOIP, wireless, phones, etc.
  • Provide end user support on Desktops, Printers, Telephone, Applications to Onsite and Remote users
  • Ensure desktop and laptop computers interconnect seamlessly with systems including file servers, email servers, and application servers


  • Customer Support:

  • Documents, diagnose, and resolve network problems. Provide on-call support.
  • Consults with Colocation customers on a regular basis, gathering project requirements.
  • Create Root Cause analysis reports on incidents affecting customer service.
  • Support internal corporate user community with desktop/laptops, mobile devices, office applications, voice, LAN technologies.


  • Education and Experience:

  • College educated (4+ years) in computer/network related field.
  • Experience in physical cabling infrastructure deployment and support (Layer1).
  • Fundamental understanding of Network Protocols (Layer2 switching & Layer3 routing protocols)
  • Experience in deploying and supporting wireless technologies.
  • Experience in the convergent technologies (voice, video)
  • Fundamental understanding of Telco transport terminology and concepts required (MPLS, Frame, OC-x, DWDM, SONET, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of security products. (firewalls, IPS, Virus software)

  • Position summary

    Position is responsible for providing H5 Data Centers with general administrative and facility support. Assists with tenant invoicing, purchasing, tracking of expenditures, and other duties for the Denver Data Center. This position backs-up the Denver Facilities Clerk with shipping and receiving responsibilities for the facility.

    This position reports to the Facilities Support Manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides a high level of service to tenants, vendors, co-workers and guests

  • Position summary

    Commitment to leading a mission critical environment that values continuous improvements. This position manages the installation and maintenance of all electrical systems at the Denver Data Center and Operations of specialized power systems.  Acts as an Engineering resource for the complete H5 portfolio of mission critical facilities. Plans and monitors the Building Management System and power measurements. Maintains design documentation.  Provides full life-cycle support to H5 Data Centers from concept design through site implementation and operations.

    This position reports to the Vice President Colocation and Data Center Operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of electrical design and engineering including development of basis of design, scope of work, implementation processes and commissioning plans
  • Schedules and leads maintenance of all Denver power systems to ensure 100% system availability
  • Lead, review, and approve designs for data center upgrades which improve availability and efficiency, in addition to capacity increases and monitoring
  • Develop and manage processes and programs to ensure the health and efficiencies of power systems within the data center
  • Develops or reviews maintenance procedures for all power systems including detailed scripts for annual maintenance and projects
  • Support Operational teams in problem resolutions, Root Cause Analysis and design and process reviews

  • Knowledge/Skills Required
  • Minimum 7 years in data center electrical design, commissioning and critical system support.
  • Experience in Data Center design, construction and commissioning including high voltage substations, complex power distribution systems, Battery and back-up systems, automation and control systems
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
  • Understanding of data center electrical operations procedures, topologies (N+1, 2N, 3/ 2N, Catcher, etc.), equipment, switchgear and transformers, UPS, generators, etc.
  • Ability to refine electrical system designs for availability, quality control, constructability, and cost efficiencies
  • Understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment and system design
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with top tier analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Organized, detailed and successful at setting priorities and meeting deadlines and budget
  • Comprehensive use of AutoCAD, Visio and Office software packages
  • Project Manager experience is a plus

  • Position summary

    H5 Data Centers is one of the leading privately-owned data center operators in the United States – managing over two million square feet of space in data centers across 13 markets.

    The Building Engineer is responsible for the repair and maintenance of infrastructure and equipment within our Quincy WA site, acting as the contact for emergencies that affect data center operations. Additionally, the Building Engineer will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets and 3) the service to our members. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary shift contact for any building issues (environment, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs)
  • Acts as the primary shift security person on shift while on nights
  • Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • May act as the project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility construction projects
  • Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis
  • Operates the primary cooling and electrical systems supporting the data center
  • Makes minor plumbing, lighting repairs, as necessary
  • Performs assigned preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the facility
  • Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required
  • Assists with shipping and receiving as needed
  • Transports goods or equipment as assigned
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
  • Assists IT team as needed for server installs and removals


  • Qualifications
  • Willing to work scheduled shifts in a 24x7 environment. Shifts can consist of standard business hours and non-business hours
  • 1-3 years technical/mechanical experience in a production facility
  • Ability to read electrical one-line drawings
  • Experience with electrical systems, including tracing electrical circuits, loads and sources
  • Experience with mechanical systems operated by industrial controls preferred
  • Meet physical requirements, including walking long-distances within the facility, working from ladders, and lifting 50lb loads
