Josh Simms is the CEO and founder of H5 Data Centers, one of the largest, privately-held data center companies in the US. H5 Data Centers currently manages over 2 million square feet.
Mr. Simms is a seasoned real estate executive, with broad experience investing and managing traditional and non-traditional asset classes, including office, multi-family, data center and retail. Through H5 Capital, Mr. Simms also provides capital, strategic direction and operational expertise to businesses and entrepreneurs in the technology sector. He also co-founded an internet company in the privacy and security space. Prior to H5 Capital, Mr. Simms completed over $2 billion of acquisitions and financings for Douglas Emmett & Co and was an analyst at JER Partners, a private equity real estate firm.
Mr. Simms holds B.S. from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Lisa Doverspike is CFO of H5 Data Centers and CEO of The Simms/Mann Family Office. Ms. Doverspike has an extensive 30-year background in strategic transactions and portfolio expansion as well as business operations, focusing on increasing ROI, managing capital, and structuring growth. Before joining H5, Ms. Doverspike served for 14 years as CFO of a private investment organization where she negotiated and structured substantial business and investment transactions and managed a variety of complex business assets. Ms. Doverspike also served as Director at Andersen LLP.
Ms. Doverspike is a CPA with a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Taxation.
David Dunn is COO of H5 Data Centers. Mr. Dunn has over 15 years of experience managing significant growth and delivering outsized returns on investment in the Internet infrastructure space.
Mr. Dunn most recently served as vice president at the Zayo Group where he was responsible for managing the wavelength and mobile infrastructure business units. Prior to Zayo, Mr. Dunn was senior vice president at CoreSite where he held leadership roles in mergers & acquisitions, leasing, marketing and strategy. Before joining CoreSite, Mr. Dunn held roles at several private equity firms including The Carlyle Group and J.E. Robert Companies.
Mr. Dunn earned a B.S. in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Bill Johnson is Vice President of Colocation and Data Center Operations responsible for mechanical and electrical infrastructure and service management for H5 Data Centers' colocation customers. Bill has over 30 years of experience in global telecommunications, data center design and operations, computer design, programming, and field support.
Prior to joining H5 Data Centers, Mr. Johnson developed, launched and managed the data center, colocation and hosting business for Travelport, one of the world's leading travel commerce platforms (NYSE: TVPT). Prior to Travelport, Bill worked at Cendant Corporation as their Relationship Manager, where he had responsibility to coordinate data center and wide area network functions among 26 separate business units.
Mr. Johnson studied Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas and received a degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Decisional Sciences from Georgia State University. He has achieved Data Center Design Professional and Data Center Management certifications and Level 5 BTECH Advanced Professional certifications, and currently holds an ITIL Practitioners certificate.
Carlos Oliveira, PhD, is a Vice President at H5 Data Centers. Dr. Oliveira has nearly 25 years of managerial experience in technology companies designing, delivering and operating large Internet computing and communication infrastructure with outsized returns on investment.
Most recently, Dr. Oliveira served as COO for NextFort Ventures, which was acquired by H5 Data Centers, where he was responsible for designing and operating NextFort's state of the art data center in Phoenix. Prior to NextFort, Dr. Oliveira was Vice President/General Manager of Latisys (recently acquired by Zayo), a national provider of data center and managed services, where he managed the West Coast operations. Previously, Dr. Oliveira held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Toshiba America Information Systems where he managed an engineering team that developed, implemented and supported nationwide network products such as DSL and cable modems for over 10 years.
Dr. Oliveira holds a PhD in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine and is an advisory board member at the University of California, School of Information and Computer Science.
