Get to Know Bryan Gillespie

What's your role at H5 Data Centers?

I’m the Sales Director for H5’s Cleveland data center. I engage leading enterprises, tech companies, and cloud service providers to understand their data center goals and present unique colocation solutions. My coverage includes Cleveland and the surrounding major metro markets.

What do you enjoy most about working with H5?

My colleagues! Everyone is accessible and take their responsibilities seriously. My first major proposal came less than two months on the job and under time constraints. I was amazed by not only how quickly the information gathered but the willingness to explain everything for my understanding. It is a team environment focused on helping the customer.

Do you have any unique experiences before working in the data center field?

Prior to entering the data center field, I worked for a manufacturer who produced systems for the oil & gas and heavy industry sectors. Each customer visit was like experiencing an episode of How It’s Made firsthand. I toured refineries, steel plants, and a jet engine testing ground to name a few!

If you could go back in time to any decade which would it be and why?

The 1970’s. I started collecting vinyl albums several years ago, the majority of which are 70’s rock bands. I would have enjoyed seeing concerts by Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, and the Eagles at the height of their careers. Plus, I love the outdoors, and this was when many commitments to environmental protection were made.

Where is your next vacation or where would you like to travel?

Due to current events, our Caribbean cruise was canceled. We planned on visiting Honduras, Belize, and Mexico. In its place, we are taking a National Parks road trip to Mammoth Cave, the Great Smokies, and Shenandoah!
