Quincy Data Center Facility Manager

Job Description

Join an exciting and entrepreneurial carrier-neutral data center company! We are looking for excellent candidates to be our Quincy Facility Manager.

The Site Facilities Manager is responsible for operations and management required to provide an economical safe, secure and reliable Data Center Facility. Additionally, the Site Facility Manager will assess and consider daily 1) the safety of our employees, 2) the security of our assets and 3) the service to our customers, business partners, and onsite staff.

Essential Functions

Operations

• Oversee the security and safety of the facility, staff and visitors
• Operate the facility to meet all local and national codes
• Maintains records of all site operations
• Drives for efficiency leading to reduced PUE and Energy Star Certification
• Meet SLA requirements for HVAC and power

Maintenance

• Oversee all maintenance contracts and records needed to maintain uptime and compliance.
• Create, Operate and Maintain CMMS system schedule work as required with staff.
• Manage contracted Housekeeping and Landscape staff
• Perform audits of all areas to ensure compliance

Meet Compliance Requirements

• DOE Air and Water
• U.S. Dept. of the Interior Water Rights
• Business Licensing
• Elevator Permits
• Occupancy Permits
• Regional Utilities

Construction

• Manage all new construction activities to include budgeting and schedule
• Perform design as required)
• Oversee work performed by sub-contractors

Management

• Manage personnel activities consisting of: Goals, Schedule, Training, Annual Reviews
• Provide operational and capital budgets to include reporting on status of existing budgets.
• Provide forecast of all staffing requirements and budget
• Manage departmental purchasing

Qualifications

• Background in both Electrical Trades and Mechanical/HVAC and Controls
• Ability to use AutoCAD for drawing review and design
• Strong knowledge of MS Project
• Must have at least 10 years experience in critical facilities
• Bachelor's degree in project management, certificate in trade school or minimum 10 years work experience related to controls, project management, vendor management, HVAC, facilities and/or maintenance
